It all starts with our ingredients, which are chosen for their specific benefits. No mystery blends here—everything is clear, transparent, and serves a purpose.
Evidence-Based Ingredient Selection
Human Evidence
Our Scientific Affairs team vets and selects ingredients with published human data and/or board of health approved datasets that match our intended population and benefit outcomes.
We weigh randomized controlled human trials higher than just observational or preclinical data.
In other words, we use data that support our intended benefits and are based on humans.
Third Party Testing
Products are certified by
independent organizations such as NSF to validate purity, potency, and safety.
We only use reputable, accredited laboratories for extensive testing
on all ingredients and products.
Packaging Transparency
Stability
All packaging materials are selected through compatibility testing to confirm barrier, seal integrity, and stability performance. Accelerated and real-time studies verify product protection throughout shelf life.
Functionality
Our packaging meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements and the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) guidelines for safety, functionality, and food-contact compliance, including child-resistant features where applicable.
Sustainability
Packaging is reviewed against the
Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) Design Guidance to maximize circularity, incorporate post-consumer recycled materials where possible.
In other words, we put our packaging through it to meet high standards and ensure both the package and the goods inside can survive its whole journey—from filling to shipping to storage to
your hands.
Measuring What Makes the Grade
Safety
Safety is prioritized through a review of GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) documentation for ingredients and an internal assessment for every formulation produced.
Only amounts that fall within established tolerable intake
levels and pass our strict safety checks are used.
We carefully review known interactions
and
contraindications
(Btw, GRAS is a FDA designation that declares
something safe to be consumed.)
How does OLLY ensure quality?
Quality and Purity
We only qualify ingredient suppliers that pass identity, potency, and contaminant testing for all raw materials.
Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Product Development teams further evaluate each ingredient for identity, compliance, purity, stability, and formulation feasibility ensuring that the science translates safely and effectively into a final product.
